Born during the communist regime in Romania, Cain lived the first seven years of his life in horrific poverty. Even during such hard times, Cain's love for acting was able to blossom. As a child, he would be in every kindergarten and school play and even organize little shows with other children for whoever was willing to watch.
Cain first rose to fame in his homecountry through his music. He was signed to Sony Music Romania and he released an album ("Incalca Regulile Jocului") and two hit singles ("Ea Nu Vrea Decat Banii" and "Oriunde"). His music videos, though controversial, were on constant rotation on MTV Romania, and soon, offers for TV and film work followed.
He starred in "Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave" as Jeremy, and later in "Catacombs", as Leon, where he shared screentime with Pink and Shannyn Sossamon. Cain has also co-hosted the TV show "Totul Pentru Tine" (the Romanian version of popular British program "I'd Do Anything").
Over the years, he has studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and at the equally famous Ivana Chubbuck Studio, which counts Charlize Theron and Halle Berry as alumni.
Cain resides in Los Angeles and counts among his hobbies fantasy novels and video games. He recently shot a part in Comedy Central's "Jon Benjamin Has A Van", starred in the web series "Things I Learned From Falling Flat On My Face", and he has also just finished his first screenplay, a thriller entitled "Survive".
